Vice President or Senior Vice President, Business Manager
Working closely with the CIO and all members of IT, help manage and facilitate IT operations.
Work with IT to establish an actionable 1 and 3 year strategy with tight business alignment.
Define and implement change throughout the organization in 3 phases: Operational Excellence, Maximizing Investments, and Strategic Business Enablement. Work with the CIO and others in IT to create a vision, socialize, and execute.
Facilitate the implementation of a Project Management capability within IT; coordinate and integrate with other project management activities throughout the firm. Ensure alignment and coordination with business teams.
Work closely with Finance to manage IT budget and coordinate financial analysis and reporting for IT.
Assist the committee chair with a Talent Management program. The committee will work with Human Resources to define a program, informed in part by a recent engagement survey and team feedback, to include such training, diversity, communication, team-building, and mentoring.
Help define and execute a comprehensive cost review program to ensure capital and resources can be redeployed to business value creation and strategic work.
Implement a communications improvement program consisting of internal emphasis – sharing information and collaborating, and external emphasis – presentations, blogs, seminars, town halls, and gamification.
Ensure we have a proper agile methodology and pragmatic processes in place.
Document and reinforce an effective governance approach, including architecture and delivery management.
Work with the CIO to define and install an innovation and idea generation capability throughout IT.
Minimum 12 years experience, preferably within the financial services industry;
Track record of career success and growth in an IT department – comfortable with technology and technical teams;
Experience in the areas of project management, financial management and change management;
Experience working on developing vision or strategy, and any experience with innovation is a plus;
A demonstrated ability to influence others at all levels in a very collaborative way;
Project Management experience a plus;
Shown ability to coordinate across large teams and gain consensus;
Superb communications skills; and
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, MS Sharepoint/Teams or equivalent applications.
