  • Responsibilities

    Oaktree is seeking an Analyst to join the Real Estate team in their Los Angeles office. The position holder will conduct strategic analysis and research in support of various portfolio management, asset management, business development and marketing-related initiatives


    Responsibilities include:

    • Reviewing and/or preparing business analytics for the strategy, with an emphasis on client reporting, due diligence requests, return attribution and departmental profitability
    • Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis on a variety of portfolio and asset management initiatives
    • Participating in the design, development and delivery of Real Estate content and analytics in support of new product evaluation as well as ongoing marketing and due diligence efforts
    • Developing and maintaining business, industry and market research
    • Contributing to marketing, fundraising, and client relations efforts by providing as-needed information on fund performance, forecasted results, distribution timing and other important data points
    • Performing additional ad-hoc analysis for the portfolio management team


    • Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in real estate, investment or consulting industry
    • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
    • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
    • Competency in financial statement analysis, business valuation, accounting and finance

    Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economics. CPA and/or CFA is a plus
