    Responsibilities

    • Preparing and maintaining the books and records of Luxembourg SPVs; Accounting for inter-entity transactions;
    • Monitoring the movements of cash within the deal and fund structures & recommending distributions;
    • Calculating allocations of income and expenses up to the different Luxembourg SPVs;
    • Performing calculations of, and monitoring accrued interest on, purchased securities and remitting payments received in Luxembourg to Oaktree in Los Angeles;
    • Working along with other Oaktree staff and external advisors in transactions involving the purchase and sale of debt instruments I investments;
    • Preparing periodical financial statements of Oaktree's Luxembourg-based entities;
    • Assisting the Tax team for Tax compliance purposes;
    • Liaising with third parties such as co-investors, auditors, tax advisors and banks;
    • Assist in preparing training materials and presentations on new accounting guidance/disclosures; and
    • Assist the Head of Finance with any other accounting related or cash management projects which may be required to be undertaken from time to time including any matters relating to the reconciliation of Oaktree bank accounts in Luxembourg.

    Qualifications

    • 3 - 5 years of accounting experience within the financial services industry, including experience as a manager in a Big-4 firm or a Trust preferred;
    • Strong appreciation for the importance of investment structures and the maintenance of their books and records;
    • Excellent understanding of accounting and the ability to apply relevant company accounting rules;
    • Solid analytical skills and ability to understand and resolve complex problems;
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required. Experience of BOB50 software is ideal. Any other accounting software is considered as an asset;
    • Experience in PE/RE is a very strong asset; and
    • Knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP is required; knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP is an asset.

    Education

    Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Accounting. Accounting qualification preferred
