    Oaktree is seeking an associate to work within the NY-based emerging market debt strategies’ 2-year program.   The Associate will participate in all investment functions related to distressed, stressed and special situation investments across the capital structure in global emerging markets. Responsibilities include:


    • Preparing detailed financial modeling;
    • Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis on companies and debt and equity securities;
    • Developing and enhancing business and industry due diligence;
    • Participating in deal structuring and legal documentation; and,
    • Monitoring the performance of existing portfolio investments.
    • Supporting the team in its various interactions with other departments such as legal, compliance, client relations, etc.






    • 2-3 years experience as an analyst with a top investment bank within M&A, restructuring, leveraged finance, credit, or research.
    • Outstanding financial modeling and analytical skills.
    • Demonstrated competency in financial statement analysis, business valuation, accounting and finance.
    • Experience working with or analyzing companies in emerging markets is preferred, but not required.
    • Skills in speaking, reading or writing foreign languages may prove advantageous.
