    Responsibilities

    As a member of the Client Relations team, the Diligence Services – Firm Analytics Associate will support current and prospective clients in responding to their quantitative ad-hoc and recurring requests related to diligence and ongoing monitoring efforts.  Additionally, the Diligence Services Associate will serve as a firm resource for analysis related to AUM and firm analytical reporting.

     

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

     

    • Interacting with functional areas across the company,  including but not limited to portfolio management, portfolio analysis and reporting, marketing, client services, product specialists, accounting, compliance, and legal in order to complete prospect and client requests;
    • Conducting data manipulation and analysis within short timelines;
    • Responding to recurring client/consultant analytical diligence requests;
    • Preparing quarterly firm analytics reporting;
    • Performing client relationship summary reporting for Oaktree executives;
    • Maintaining firm and strategy account turnover data and performing related analytical reporting;
    • Performing quality control checks on data posted to third-party/consultant databases as well as analysis conducted by internal team members;
    • Performing other tasks and project work as assigned

    Qualifications

    • 3-4 years of experience at an Asset Management company, Investment Bank or other related financial services company is preferred;
    • Strong command of all or a majority of Oaktree’s investment areas (Credit, Private Equity, Real Assets and Listed Equities) and their relevant performance and portfolio metrics;
    • Strong analytical background and experience managing and manipulating large amounts of data in Microsoft Excel;
    • Ability to craft thoughtful and custom analysis using large datasets;
    • Proven ability to prioritize high volumes of work from a multitude of sources while maintaining the highest quality standards; exceptional organizational skills and attention detail; 
    • Articulate and creative communicator: ability to interpret data and analysis for a wide range of audiences.

    Education

    A Bachelor’s degree is required (major in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related field preferred).
