Responsibilities

The Performance & Client Reporting application development team at Oaktree is responsible for daily and monthly Performance, Attribution and Client reporting. The team also supports Oaktree’s Quarterly Financial Reporting processes. Based in Los Angeles, this position will serve a key role in Oaktree’s enterprise wide Reporting platform.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Working directly with business users on documenting business and functional requirements;
  • Understanding the business and gaining Oaktree specific knowledge to help streamline business processes via technology enhancements;
  • Liaising between business users and developers;
  • Build mappings, interfaces, ETL processes as part of the larger systems implementation effort;
  • Troubleshooting and identifying fixes to production issues;
  • Independently managing smaller ad-hoc projects;
  • Following industry standard development processes (SDLC, version control);
  • Defining, coordinating, and executing QA tests against business requirements before delivery to business units; and
  • Defining, developing, and executing training materials in conjunction with the Business Unit.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in systems analysis and design;
  • Understanding of relational databases, specifically, experience in SQL 2008, 2012, 2016;
  • Proven experience documenting design and code using standard methodologies, troubleshooting and version control (TFS);
  • Strong analytical and technical abilities in the Microsoft environment, including, Windows 7, Windows 10, MS Office, Visio, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access;
  • Works well as an independent contributor and team player; shares knowledge freely;
  • Very strong communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Proven creative problem solving and innovative mindset;
  • Knowledge of C#, .NET, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS; and
  • Financial services industry expertise a plus.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS or MIS is required. Microsoft certifications a plus.
