Responsibilities

Oaktree is looking to hire an MBA student for summer 2018 to work with the Japan Opportunities Group in Tokyo. The group manages an opportunistic, long/short equity fund.

As a member of a small four person team, responsibilities will include the following:

  • Industry research and analysis
  • Company analysis including financial modeling and valuation analysis
  • Project(s) consisting of development of investment thesis, including valuation and SWOT analysis and qualitative industry analysis, and presentation of idea to team
  • Preparation for and participation in research meetings with companies and sell-side analysts

Qualifications

  • Advanced excel skills and familiarity with Bloomberg

Personal Attributes

  • Bilingual Japanese/ English is required
  • Strong desire to invest
  • Curious and resourceful

Education

Currently pursuing an MBA from a top business school.
