    Oaktree is seeking an Associate to work within the Strategic Credit Group for a 2-year program. The Associate will participate in all transaction functions and portfolio management activities.


    • Analyzing company financial statements;
    • Developing detailed financial models with projections;
    • Assessing company capital structures and reviewing related legal documents;
    • Analyzing company valuations using various macroeconomic and business specific assumptions;
    • Conducting interviews with industry experts and company management;
    • Performing qualitative business and industry due diligence;
    • Assessing strengths and weaknesses of various businesses;
    • Performing comparable company analyses;
    • Developing comprehensive investment thesis and memos;
    • Presenting investment ideas to portfolio management;
    • Participating in deal structuring, legal documentation and negotiations; and
    • Monitoring the performance of existing portfolio investments.


    • 2-3 years of experience as an analyst with a top investment bank within merchant banking or leveraged finance;
    • Outstanding financial modeling and analytical skills; and
    • Demonstrated competency in financial statement analysis, business valuation, accounting and finance.

    Bachelor’s degree with honors from a top university or college.
