Based in downtown Los Angeles, the Corporate Travel Manager will be part of the Global Corporate Services team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Establish and maintain Oaktree’s global T&E policies and programs;
  • Oversee and negotiate rates/contracts with all of Oaktree's global travel-related service providers, including:
    • Travel Management Companies (TMCs);
    • Contracted airline and hotel discount programs;
    • Car service vendors;
    • Online booking tool maintenance;
  • Negotiate contracts or rates with travel service providers;
  • Manage Oaktree’s Corporate Card program, including policy, reporting and administration of card access;
  • Drive compliance with T&E policies and procedures;
  • Coordinate with regional administrators to ensure the effectiveness of Oaktree’s T&E policies and programs;
  • Administer employee training on T&E Policy, Concur Travel and other aspects of Oaktree’s travel program;
  • Serve as system administrator for online booking tool globally;
  • Deliver management reporting on travel spend, volume and trends; identify and recommend cost savings strategies or initiatives;
  • Provide analytical data for travel related RFP’s and annual negotiation processes;
  • Publish quarterly travel newsletter, maintain travel page on Oaktree Central and other communications;
  • Monitor global events and traveler safety (duty of care), and liaise with Human Resources and Business Continuity on any incidents;
  • Stay abreast on travel industry trends and changes that may impact Oaktree’s travel program and policies, and proactively identify updates or opportunities; and
  • Manage other areas of Corporate Services where needed.


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a travel management role, preferably with experience managing private air travel and group meetings/events;
  • Negotiating contracts and savings with service providers;
  • Leading travel-related projects with some direction and sponsorship from management;
  • Analyzing large data sets and producing management reports; and
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel, Office, Word, and PowerPoint skills.

Bachelor’s degree is required.
