Responsibilities

Based in Downtown Los Angeles, Oaktree is seeking an associate to work within the US Senior Loans Group for a 2-year program.   This position is part of the 2018 class. The selected candidate will start between Spring 2018 - July 2018.

 

The Associate will participate in all transaction functions and portfolio management activities:

 

  • Preparing detailed financial modeling;
  • Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis;
  • Developing and maintaining business and industry due diligence;
  • Participating in deal structuring, legal documentation and negotiations; and
  • Monitoring the performance of existing portfolio investments.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience as an analyst with a top investment bank within merchant banking or leveraged finance.
  • Outstanding financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated competency in financial statement analysis, business valuation, accounting and finance.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree with honors from a top university or college is preferred.
